Trott & Willmar Ave SW &
11th Street SW
According to officials for the City of
Willmar, a bituminous paving project was delayed due to the weather and
will start on Wednesday, June 9 on Trott Avenue SW from 10th Street to
16th Street SW, 11th Street SW from T.H. No. 12 to Trott Avenue SW, and
Willmar Avenue SW from 18th Street to 22nd Street SW in Willmar.
The project calls for the paving of the wearing course on the reconstructed streets. Traffic will not be allowed in the construction zone. Traffic control will be in place. Motorists may encounter minor delays. Motorists are advised to slow down for their safety and the safety of others. Weather permitting; the City anticipates that construction will be completed June 9.
The prime contractor for the project is Duininck Bros., Inc. of Prinsburg, Minnesota.
Highway 23/71
Mn/DOT is proposing improvements to the 3.5-mile common section of Highway
23 and Highway 71 (known as “Highway 23/71”). The project corridor extends
from the Highway 23/71 split in Dovre Township to the southern split of
Highway 23/71 and Business 71 in the City of Willmar.
